The Franklin County Historical Society, located in Hampton, Iowa, preserves and promotes the history of the area. Founded in 1958, it is one of the oldest historical societies in the state.

The society is dedicated to the preservation and interpretation of the history of Franklin County and its people. The society operates several historic sites, including the Franklin County Courthouse and the C.E. and Anna Kienast Homestead in Latimer. The society also maintains a museum in Hampton, where it displays artifacts and documents related to the county's history.
