The Barbour County Governors Trail Council Inc., located in Clayton, Alabama, is a non-profit organization established in 2013. Its mission is to promote the development and use of Barbour County's natural resources for recreational activities, as well as to provide educational and cultural opportunities in the county.

The Council works closely with the Barbour County Commission, the Barbour County Sheriff’s Office, and the Barbour County Conservation District to ensure the preservation and enjoyment of the county's natural resources. The Council also works with the Barbour County Chamber of Commerce and the Barbour County Tourism Board to promote activities and events in the county.
