WOODS HISTORIC GRIST MILL

Woods Historic Grist Mill is a historic site located in Hobart, Indiana. The mill was built in 1876 and was used to grind grain into flour for over a century. The mill is a three-story structure made of wood and stone, with a large waterwheel on the exterior.

The mill was originally powered by the Deep River, which provided the water necessary to turn the wheel and grind the grain. In the early 1900s, the mill was converted to an electric motor, which is still in use today.
