EAST HIGH SCHOOL VETERANS MEMORIAL

ROCKFORD, IL

East High School Veterans Memorial is located in Rockford, Illinois and was constructed to honor the veterans of East High School. The memorial consists of a large marble monument with a bronze plaque in the center. The plaque is inscribed with the names of all the veterans who attended East High School and is surrounded by four granite benches and four flagpoles.

The monument is situated in a large courtyard at the front of the school and is surrounded by landscaping, including a variety of trees and bushes. The courtyard is designed to provide a tranquil and reflective area for visitors to honor and remember the veterans.

The memorial was built in 2008 by the East High School Alumni Association in partnership with the Rockford Park District and the City of Rockford. The project was funded by donations from alumni and community members.
