Brinkerhoff Home is a historic mansion located at 1000 North 5th Street in Springfield, Illinois. Built in 1869 by architect George H. Miller for William Brinkerhoff, a successful businessman and politician, the mansion is a fine example of Second Empire style architecture. The exterior of the building features a mansard roof with dormer windows, intricate brickwork, and ornate ironwork. The interior of the mansion is equally impressive, featuring original woodwork, stained glass windows, and a grand staircase.

Over the years, Brinkerhoff Home has served a variety of purposes, including as a private residence, a boarding house, and a nursing home. In 1984, the mansion was added to the National Register of Historic Places and, in 1994, it was purchased by the Illinois National Guard to serve as a headquarters. Today, the mansion is owned by the Illinois State Military Museum and is used for special events, including weddings and private parties.
