The Outdoor Heritage Foundation of Vermilion County Illinois (OHFVC) is a non-profit organization located in Danville IL. Founded in 2016, OHFVC is dedicated to connecting people of all ages to the outdoors and to preserving and protecting the natural beauty of Vermilion County. Holding out for Hoopeston With Lafayette's traffic low, and having seen what we originally came to see, we embarked on the trip back towards home. Instead of just hopping on the interstate, however, we decided to meander along the KBS line and towards Hoopeston. Some time before, we'd been told of an interesting Modern Industries signal here - a sort of knockoff of an R2/P5 - but when we arrived, we found the signal replaced by a safetran. To think we were just a few months too late...

While circling around Hoopeston for a minute to make sure we hadn't just missed it or to see if any remnants remained, we noticed the new signal was lit green. Rather than just drive off and call it a day, we decided to wait around for a few minutes to see if it was worth anything. Jokingly, I suggested it'd probably be a yn3 bonga leading a yn2 behind it - just our luck, right?

Well, wasn't I in for a surprise when it was actually the other way around. CSX 30 came blasting through town and suddenly, we were off to chase it down again!

Now as to whether we got a shot of it again? That's another story...
