Pioneers Cemetery Association Incorporated is a non-profit organization located in Phoenix, Arizona. Founded in 1896, Pioneers Cemetery Association Incorporated is the oldest cemetery in Arizona and the oldest continuously operating non-profit in the state. The cemetery is the final resting place of more than 5,000 veterans of the Civil War, World War I, World War II, Korean War, Vietnam War, and other conflicts.
In addition to its historical significance, the cemetery is home to a variety of wildlife, trees, and shrubbery. It is a popular destination for birdwatchers, photographers, and nature enthusiasts. Pathways lined by towering pine trees, lush grass, and a variety of flowers provide a tranquil atmosphere for visitors.
Pioneers Cemetery Association Incorporated organizes a variety of events throughout the year, including tours, memorial services, and celebration days. The organization also offers educational programs, such as history lessons and cemetery preservation classes.
The cemetery is open to the public Monday through Saturday from dawn until dusk. In an effort to keep the grounds clean and safe, the cemetery has a strict set of rules and regulations that all visitors must follow.
