MILLENNIUM PARK

Millennium Park is a 25-acre public park located in the Loop community area of Chicago, Illinois. It is located on top of a parking garage and railroad tracks, and was built to celebrate the third millennium. The park features a variety of attractions, including the Pritzker Pavilion, a large outdoor music venue; the BP Pedestrian Bridge, which connects the park to Daley Bicentennial Plaza; the Lurie Garden, a 4-acre garden featuring a variety of flowers and trees; the Crown Fountain, a fountain featuring a pair of 50-foot tall glass towers that project digital videos of local faces; and the Cloud Gate sculpture, a 110-ton elliptical sculpture made of stainless steel and nicknamed “The Bean”. The park also includes interactive art installations, a walking and jogging path, and a variety of restaurants and cafes. It is a popular destination for visitors and locals alike, and hosts a variety of events throughout the year, including art exhibitions, concerts, and cultural festivals. Millennium Park is a great place to spend a day exploring the beauty of Chicago.
