The Park Forest Historical Society, located in Park Forest, Illinois, was founded in 1971 to preserve the history of the village. It is one of the oldest and most active historical societies in the state of Illinois. The Society’s mission is to collect, preserve, and disseminate information about the history of Park Forest and its surrounding areas.
The Society operates the Park Forest History Center, a museum dedicated to the village’s past, which is open to the public.
