The Camp Verde Historical Society (CVHS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the history of Camp Verde, Arizona. Founded in 1983, CVHS has been active in the community for over 36 years. The society is a member of the Arizona Historical Society and the Arizona Museums Association.
CVHS was established to preserve and interpret the history of Camp Verde, its people, and surrounding areas. The organization's goals are to collect and preserve historical artifacts and documents, educate the public about local history, and promote the preservation of historic sites.
The society's main facility is located in downtown Camp Verde, in the old Camp Verde Jailhouse.
