The Brookfield Historical Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the history of Brookfield, Illinois and the surrounding areas. Founded in 1985, the Society has been active in preserving and promoting the history of the area through various educational programs, events, and exhibits. As an affiliate of the Illinois State Historical Society, the organization also works to promote and protect the local historic sites.

The Society's main focus is the historic Brookfield Village, the original settlement that was established in the early 1800s. The Society works to preserve the village and its architectural heritage through various activities and programs. The Society also sponsors programs in the village, such as the annual Brookfield Village Festival and the Brookfield Antique Show, which are open to the public.
