Sturdivant Hall is a historic mansion located in Selma, Alabama, USA. Built in 1852 by Colonel Edward T. Watts, a wealthy planter, politician, and lawyer, the Greek Revival-style home is considered one of the finest examples of residential architecture in the state. The house was named after John McGee Sturdivant, who purchased the property in 1864 and owned it until 1893.

The house features 10,000 square feet of living space, including a grand entrance hall, a formal parlor, a dining room, a library, and six bedrooms. The interior is adorned with original furnishings, artwork, and decorative accessories from the mid-19th century, giving visitors a glimpse into the lifestyle of the wealthy plantation owners during that era.

The mansion has survived many historical events, including the Civil War, and was used as a hospital by both sides during the Battle of Selma. In 1967, the Selma-Dallas County Historic Preservation Society purchased the home and converted it into a museum, which showcases the history and culture of Selma, as well as the architectural and social significance of the property.

Today, Sturdivant Hall remains a popular tourist attraction and is open to the public for guided tours, special events, and private functions. It has been designated as a National Historic Landmark and is a testament to the rich history and legacy of Selma.
