The Sunnyslope Historical Society in Phoenix, Arizona was founded in 1982 by local residents in order to preserve the history and heritage of the Sunnyslope community. The Society operates a museum and resource center and hosts a variety of educational programs.

The museum contains a variety of artifacts and documents that detail the history of Sunnyslope and its people. Exhibits include photographs, oral histories, and artifacts related to the area’s past, including the agricultural history of the area and the rise of the Sunnyslope area as a suburb of Phoenix. The museum also houses a library of local history books and other materials, as well as a collection of historical documents that document the development of the area.

The Society also hosts a variety of educational programs and events, including lectures, tours, and workshops. The Society is also involved in the preservation of landmarks throughout the area, such as the historic Sunnyslope Canal and the original Sunnyslope High School.

The Sunnyslope Historical Society is a valuable resource for those interested in learning more about the history and culture of the Sunnyslope area. The Society’s mission is to promote public awareness, appreciation, and understanding of the history and heritage of the Sunnyslope community.
