The DePaul University Art Gallery is a professional art gallery located on the Lincoln Park Campus of DePaul University in Chicago, IL. The DePaul University Art Gallery was established in 1993 and is dedicated to showcasing the work of contemporary artists from around the world. The gallery is known for its commitment to presenting exhibitions of both local and international artists in a variety of media, including painting, sculpture, photography, and video.
The gallery has a permanent collection of artworks, which includes more than 400 works from the 1950s to the present day. This collection includes pieces from the School of Art, Architecture, and Design at DePaul, as well as works by internationally renowned artists. The gallery also presents a dynamic program of temporary exhibitions that explore a range of themes and ideas relating to art, culture, and society.
The DePaul University Art Gallery is open to the public and admission is free. The gallery is open Monday through Friday from 10am-4pm, and on Saturdays from 12pm-4pm. Visitors can also attend special events such as lectures and workshops, as well as artist talks and receptions. The gallery also offers educational programs for students and teachers, as well as summer art camps for children.
