The Historic Wallace Preservation Society, Inc. (HWPS) is a non-profit organization located in Wallace, Idaho. Founded in 1975, HWPS is dedicated to preserving the history and heritage of Wallace and the surrounding area.

HWPS works to collect, preserve and share the stories of Wallace’s past. The organization collects and preserves artifacts, documents, photographs, and other records important to the history of Wallace and the surrounding area. They also provide educational programs and activities to help the public learn about the history of the area.

HWPS is committed to preserving the historic buildings in Wallace. They work to restore and preserve the many historic structures in Wallace, including the Northern Pacific Railroad Depot, Oasis Bordello, and the Wallace Mining Museum. They also offer walking tours of Wallace’s historic downtown.

HWPS is actively involved in the community, hosting events and programs such as the Wallace Heritage Days, an annual celebration of Wallace’s history. They also work with other local organizations to help protect and preserve the area’s natural resources.
