The Latah County Historical Society/McConnell Mansion in Moscow, Idaho is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the county’s rich history. The organization operates out of the McConnell Mansion, a Victorian-style house built in 1891 by Charles and Sarah McConnell. It is located in the center of downtown Moscow. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.

The mansion is open for tours for a small fee, with guided tours available of the house and its grounds. Visitors can learn about the history of the McConnells, who were prominent members of the early Moscow community, as well as the history of the house and its furnishings. The house features a variety of original furnishings, including a piano from the late 1800s.

The Historical Society also hosts a variety of events throughout the year, such as lectures, musical performances, and art shows. The Society also offers a variety of educational programs to visitors, such as workshops and lectures on local history.

The Latah County Historical Society/McConnell Mansion is an important part of the Moscow community and provides an opportunity to learn about the area’s history and culture. It is a great resource for those interested in the history of Latah County, and a great place to spend a day learning and exploring.
