Tropical-Marine Conservation Institute Inc in Boise, Idaho, is a non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation and preservation of tropical and marine ecosystems. Founded in 1993, the institute works to protect and sustain the fragile aquatic ecosystems of the world’s tropical and marine regions. The institute focuses on activities such as research, education, and advocacy, working to ensure that these fragile ecosystems are maintained for generations to come.

The institute is actively engaged in a range of projects, from providing scientific advice to local governments, to developing and implementing conservation plans in collaboration with indigenous communities. The institute is also involved in a number of research initiatives, including the study of coral reefs, fish ecology, and aquatic conservation.

The institute has established a number of educational programs designed to provide students and other interested individuals with a comprehensive understanding of the current state of tropical and marine ecosystems. #FlickrFriday #Quest From the 1840s to the 1860s, about 400,000 people followed the Oregon Trail from the Missouri to the Willamette, in a quest for good farmland. This is where the trail goes down a natural notch in the basalt cliffs that line this part of the Boise River.It is steeper than I had imagined it; they had to lower the wagons with ropes. From here they saw a green valley with trees along the river after about a month in the desert. The road in the distance is Highway 21, which blasts an easier way down through the basalt cliffs. Beyond that are the houses of Boise.
