Friends of Kahana is a non-profit organization in Kaneohe, Hawaii dedicated to preserving the natural beauty, culture, and history of the Kahana Valley area. Founded in 1997, the organization works to restore and maintain the native Hawaiian watersheds, as well as to improve the quality of life for residents of the area by providing educational and recreational opportunities.

The organization works to protect the area’s natural resources and maintain its cultural heritage, while also developing and improving recreational facilities. Friends of Kahana has worked to restore and preserve the area’s ancient fishponds, as well as to create and maintain trails for hiking and biking. The organization has also worked to establish a community center in the area, which provides recreational activities for local children and families.

In addition to its environmental and recreational efforts, Friends of Kahana also works to support local businesses, promote the area’s unique cultural heritage, and provide educational opportunities for the local community. The organization runs a number of events throughout the year such as native Hawaiian festivals and hula performances, as well as educational seminars and workshops.
