The Japanese Cultural Center of Hawaii in Honolulu, HI is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving, perpetuating, and sharing the history, culture and traditions of the Japanese people in Hawaii. The center was established in 1998 to serve as a hub for the community to come together and learn about the Japanese culture and heritage. The Center is a vibrant gathering place for Japanese Americans, Hawaiians, and guests from around the world to appreciate and understand the unique aspects of the culture.

The Center offers a variety of educational and cultural programs to the public including lectures, classes, workshops, and performances. The Center's library is also a great resource for researching the history of the Japanese people in Hawaii. The library holds a collection of over 10,000 books, magazines, and other materials, including rare books and documents. The Center also houses a museum, displaying artifacts and photographs from the Japanese cultural experience in Hawaii.

The Center also produces cultural events such as the annual Bon Dance Festival, a celebration of Obon, the Japanese ancestral festival. The event features traditional Japanese music and dance, food and crafts. The Center also hosts a variety of concerts, lectures and other special events throughout the year.

The Japanese Cultural Center of Hawaii is a wonderful place to explore the culture and history of the Japanese people in Hawaii. It is also a great resource for learning about the contributions of the Japanese people to the Hawaiian Islands.
