The Kona Outdoor Circle Education Center and Sanctuary (KOCECS) is a unique and educational non-profit organization located in Kailua Kona, Hawaii. The Center is dedicated to the education and promotion of environmental stewardship and conservation of Hawaii's unique ecosystems. KOCECS offers educational programs and recreational activities to the public to encourage appreciation, understanding, and protection of the environment.
KOCECS is located on an eight-acre site with lush native vegetation, beautiful views, and a variety of wildlife. The Center offers guided hikes, educational lectures, and hands-on activities for visitors of all ages. It also hosts special events throughout the year such as Earth Day celebrations, birding festivals, and marine life workshops.
The Center also houses a variety of birds and other animals that were rescued from the wild. These animals can be seen in the sanctuary, which is home to over 50 species of birds. Visitors are also able to view native plants in the surrounding landscape and learn about the unique plants that are found in Hawaii.
KOCECS is a great way to learn about the environment and wildlife of Hawaii while having some fun. The Center is open to the public and provides a variety of educational and recreational activities and programs to help visitors understand and appreciate the beauty of Hawaii.
