Waimea Canyon State Park Waimea Canyon State Park is located on the Hawaiian Island of Kauai.

Waimea Canyon is called "The Grand Canyon of the Pacific."  It is 10 miles long and 3000 feet deep.  The Canyon was cut by the Waimea River.  Waimea is Hawaiian for 'reddish water.'

Kilauea Point Natural History Association is located in Kilauea, Hawaii, on the northernmost tip of Kauai. It is a non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation and preservation of the unique environment and wildlife of the area. Established in 1988, the Association is committed to educating the public about the natural history and ecology of the Kilauea Point National Wildlife Refuge, which is located within the boundaries of the Association.

The refuge is a sanctuary for a variety of seabirds, native Hawaiian plants, and other wildlife species. It is home to the largest seabird colony in the Hawaiian Islands, with over 14,000 seabird individuals and 22 species. The refuge is also home to the endangered Hawaiian monk seal, the nene (Hawaiian goose), and the Kilauea Point lighthouse.

The Association offers guided tours of the wildlife refuge, as well as educational programs, field trips, and special events. The Association also provides assistance with wildlife rescue and rehabilitation, and volunteers are welcome to help.

Kilauea Point Natural History Association works to ensure that the unique wildlife and environment of the Kilauea Point National Wildlife Refuge are protected now and in the future. Through the Association's educational programs and activities, visitors can learn about the refuge and gain an appreciation for its importance. By visiting and supporting the Association, visitors can help protect and preserve the unique wildlife and environment of the refuge.
