The Waimea Arboretum Foundation, located in Haleiwa, Hawaii, is a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of Hawaii’s native plant species. The foundation’s mission is to “protect, preserve, and share the natural and cultural resources of Waimea Arboretum,” a botanical garden and park located on the North Shore of Oahu. The foundation was established in 1998, and since then has been committed to the conservation of native Hawaiian plants.

The foundation has a variety of programs and activities designed to foster the growth and appreciation of native Hawaiian plants, such as educational workshops, guided tours of the arboretum, and volunteer workdays. The arboretum itself is home to more than 350 species of native Hawaiian plants, including rare and endangered species. The foundation also works to protect and restore native plant communities throughout Oahu, as well as to promote sustainable land management practices.

The Waimea Arboretum Foundation also serves as a resource for the local community, providing educational materials and programs for schools, community organizations, and visitors to the arboretum. The foundation is committed to the preservation of Hawaii’s unique natural environment, and works hard to ensure the long-term health of the arboretum and its surrounding ecosystems.
