The Liljestrand Foundation is a private, non-profit organization located in Honolulu, Hawaii. Founded in 1981 by Dr. George A. and Elisabeth C. Liljestrand, the foundation is dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of the people of Hawaii. The Liljestrand Foundation supports community-based initiatives and organizations that strive to reduce disparities in health and healthcare.

The foundation's mission is to improve the health of Hawaiians by funding programs that focus on prevention, education, research, and service delivery. The foundation's grant-making program supports projects that focus on areas such as health policy, health systems, population health, and health disparities. Current grantees include organizations such as Hawaii Women in Medicine, the American Cancer Society, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
