Friends of Old Maui High School (FOMHS) is a nonprofit organization based in Paia, Hawaii. It was founded in 2001 to support the preservation of the historic Old Maui High School building. The building, which opened in 1913, was designed by renowned architect C.W. Dickey and is the oldest standing high school in the state of Hawaii.

FOMHS works to preserve the history of the school and its students by collecting and preserving artifacts, stories and photographs. They also sponsor several events throughout the year to bring the community together, including art shows, dances, and other community gatherings. Additionally, the organization provides educational workshops and lectures to help students explore Hawaiian culture and history.

FOMHS also works to revitalize the grounds of the school. They have planted native Hawaiian plants to help restore the environment, and have also created a mini-farm for students to learn about sustainable agricultural practices.

The organization is funded through memberships, donations, and grants. FOMHS is committed to preserving the history of Old Maui High School, and to supporting the Paia community through education and events.

Hawaiian green turtle Green turtles are found throughout the world, occurring primarily in tropical, and to a lesser extent, subtropical waters. The Hawaiian green turtle is genetically distinct from the other green sea turtle populations, nesting primarily in the French Frigate Shoals of the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands and feeding in the coastal areas of the main Hawaiian Islands. This species was in a steep decline as of the 1970s because of direct harvest of both turtles and eggs by humans. The population has grown steadily over the last thirty years after protection began in 1978. Greens are the most common species of sea turtle found in Hawaiian waters.
