The Shangri La Islamic Art Museum in Honolulu HI is a unique collection of artwork and artifacts that celebrates the history and culture of Islamic art and architecture. Located on the grounds of the Doris Duke Foundation for Islamic Art, the museum houses more than 2,500 pieces of Islamic art from the 13th to the 21st century. The museum's design was inspired by traditional Islamic architecture and features a main gallery, a main courtyard, and several smaller galleries. In the main gallery, visitors can see a number of artifacts and artwork from the collection, including a large, hand-painted ceiling mural. The main courtyard features a peaceful, tranquil atmosphere with fountains, a reflecting pool, and a shade structure. The smaller galleries include a library, a children's gallery, and a gallery dedicated to the modern art of the Islamic world.

The museum offers a variety of educational programs, such as lectures and workshops, to help visitors learn more about Islamic art and culture. Additionally, the museum hosts special exhibitions and events throughout the year. The Shangri La Islamic Art Museum is open to the public and admission is free.
