It is named after a cannonball that struck the house during the Battle of Dunlap Hill in 1864. The house is a Greek Revival-style building with a white exterior and black shutters. It has two floors and a basement. The interior of the house features period furnishings, including a four-poster bed, a spinning wheel, and a collection of antique dolls. Visitors can also see the medical instruments and equipment used during the Civil War. The Cannonball House is now a museum that offers tours and educational programs.
