The Taylor County Historical-Genealogical Society (TCHGS) is a non-profit organization located in Butler, Georgia. Founded in 1974, the society is dedicated to researching, preserving, and sharing the history of Taylor County and its people. The organization has an extensive library with over 4,000 volumes, including local histories, family histories, land records, and government documents. It also has a collection of photographs, yearbooks, census records, and other memorabilia.

The society holds meetings each month, typically featuring a guest speaker or a workshop. It also publishes a quarterly newsletter and holds various events throughout the year, such as cemetery walks, house tours, and genealogy seminars.
