The Scottish Rite Valley of Atlanta Preservation Trust is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and protecting the architectural and historical integrity of the Scottish Rite Valley of Atlanta. The Trust was formed in 2002 with the mission to acquire, restore, and maintain the Valley’s historic buildings and grounds.
The Valley of Atlanta is a complex of historic buildings and grounds located on Ponce de Leon Avenue in midtown Atlanta. It is the Southeast's largest Masonic center and the home of the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Southern Jurisdiction, USA. The property includes a historic temple, a theater, and a variety of other buildings.
The Scottish Rite Valley of Atlanta Preservation Trust works to preserve this important piece of Atlanta's history and culture. They have acquired and restored several buildings on the site and maintain the grounds with careful attention to historical accuracy. They also organize educational events and tours of the Valley to raise awareness of the importance of preserving the history of the Valley.
The Trust's efforts have been recognized by the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation, who awarded the organization with their 2017 Excellence in Preservation award for their work in restoring the historic buildings and grounds.
