EZEKIEL HARRIS HOUSE

The Ezekiel Harris House is a historic house located in Augusta, Georgia. Built in 1797 by Ezekiel Harris, the house is one of the oldest surviving structures in Augusta. The house is a two-story, brick Georgian-style dwelling with a side-gabled roof and a central hall plan. The house is notable for its large, central hall which runs the length of the house, and its large brick columns which support the second floor. The house also features two large brick chimneys at either end of the house.

In the interior of the house, the central hall is flanked by a parlor and a dining room on either side. The parlor features a large fireplace, while the dining room features a built-in cupboard and a built-in corner cupboard. Upstairs, the house features four large bedrooms and a large hallway. The house has been restored to its original condition and features several original furnishings.

The house is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is open to the public for tours. It is also a popular venue for weddings, receptions, and other special events. The house serves as a reminder of the history and culture of Augusta, Georgia and is a popular tourist destination.
