Founded in 1991, Fort Discovery is a science center located in Augusta, Georgia. It is situated in a two-story building on the Savannah River in the heart of downtown. It is the largest science center in the state and offers a variety of interactive exhibits, educational programs, and special events. The center's mission is to provide an opportunity for visitors to explore the science of their everyday life.

The first floor of the facility contains three main exhibit areas: the Discovery Theater, the Science Lab, and the Exploration Hall. The Discovery Theater contains a variety of interactive displays and activities that focus on the science of motion, light, sound, and electricity.
