Loxahatchee Battlefield Preservationists Inc. is a non-profit organization in Boynton Beach, Florida, dedicated to preserving and protecting the historic Loxahatchee Battlefield. The battlefield, situated along the Loxahatchee River, was the site of an 1838 skirmish between the U.S. Army and Seminole Indians, the last battle of the Second Seminole War. The battlefield is the only site in the country that preserves the physical and cultural remains of the war.

The organization works to preserve and protect the battlefield, and to educate the public about its history. To this end, they have created a memorial park at the site, where visitors can explore the battlefield and learn about its history. They also organize special events, such as Battle of Loxahatchee re-enactments and history lectures, to help bring the battlefield’s history to life.

The organization also works to promote sustainable land management practices, to ensure that the battlefield remains intact for future generations. To do this, they collaborate with local, state and federal agencies, as well as private organizations, to develop and implement land management plans that protect the battlefield.

In addition to their work in preserving and protecting the battlefield, the organization also works to promote environmental education and stewardship. They provide educational programs and workshops to local schools and community groups, to help foster an environmental ethic among the next generation of citizens.

In short, the Loxahatchee Battlefield Preservationists Inc. is committed to preserving and protecting this historic site, and to educating the public about its history and importance. By doing so, they hope to ensure that the battlefield remains intact for future generations to enjoy.
