The Uncommon Friends Foundation Inc is a non-profit organization located in Fort Myers, Florida. It was founded in 1993 by a group of five individuals who shared a common goal: to preserve and promote the legacy of Thomas Edison and Henry Ford's friendship and shared values of innovation, community leadership, environmental stewardship, and ethical conduct.

The Foundation's mission is to promote the values of ethical business practices, environmental stewardship, and community leadership through education and programs for students, teachers, and the general public. It does this through a variety of projects and programs, such as the Uncommon Friends Leadership Institute, which offers educational programs for local high school and college students, and the Uncommon Friends Environmental Stewardship Program, which provides resources to local schools and organizations for environmental stewardship initiatives.

The Foundation also hosts a variety of events throughout the year, such as the Annual Uncommon Friends Lecture Series, which invites notable speakers from various fields to share their stories and discuss their experiences; the Thomas Edison and Henry Ford Inventors' Challenge, which encourages students to come up with innovative ideas and inventions; and the Uncommon Friends Festival, which brings together local businesses, organizations, and individuals to celebrate the legacy of Thomas Edison and Henry Ford.
