Naval Air Station Fort Lauderdale is a U.S. Navy base located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. It is located on a 909-acre site on the north side of the city, and is the home of the Navy's Fleet Logistics Support Squadron 56 (VR-56) and the Navy's Fleet Logistics Support Wing. The base is home to about 1,800 active duty and reserve personnel and their families.

The mission of Naval Air Station Fort Lauderdale is to provide fleet logistic support, including training, support operations, and maintenance, to the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps. The base also provides support to the U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Army, and other government agencies.

The base is home to a number of facilities, including a large airfield, a hanger, a fuel farm, a training center, and a variety of other buildings and structures. Now if you're looking for a floating resort this is what you're looking for. So much to do onboard there's no reason for most to get off the ship!
