We had 8 hours until our flight to Vancouver departed so we took local transit to Las Olas district in downtown.

Las Olas attraction for us is Riverwalk on and around New River's banks.

Bonnet House Museum and Gardens is a historic estate located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. It was built in 1920 as a winter retreat for artist Frederic Clay Bartlett and his wife, Evelyn Fortune Bartlett. The property consists of 35 acres of lush subtropical gardens and a historic house, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is open for public tours. The house contains many of the original furnishings, artwork and artifacts from the Bartlett era, as well as a variety of tropical plants and trees.

The grounds of the Bonnet House are also open to the public. Visitors can explore the winding paths and gardens, which include a Japanese garden, an herb garden, a butterfly garden, and a mangrove swamp. The grounds also feature a lagoon, an observation tower, a gazebo, and a variety of birds and animals.

The Bonnet House Museum and Gardens hosts a variety of events throughout the year, including art shows, music concerts, lectures, and educational programs. The museum also offers guided tours, special events, and an annual holiday lights celebration in December.
