The Deltona Arts and Historical Society (DAHS) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, volunteer-run organization that is dedicated to preserving, celebrating and promoting the history and culture of Deltona, Florida. The organization was founded in 1976 and is the oldest cultural organization in the city. DAHS is actively involved in a variety of activities and events that serve to inform and educate the community about the history and culture of Deltona.

The organization is guided by a board of directors, which is composed of local citizens, who are passionate about the history and culture of the area. The board of directors works closely with a variety of community organizations and groups in order to coordinate events and activities that promote the history and culture of Deltona.

DAHS also works closely with the City of Deltona to preserve the city’s historical sites, buildings and landmarks. This includes working with the city to create a historic district in downtown Deltona, which is home to many of the city’s oldest and most iconic buildings. The organization also maintains a digital library of historic photographs and documents, which are available to the public.

In addition to preserving and promoting the history and culture of Deltona, the DAHS organizes a variety of events and activities that are open to the public. These include lectures, workshops, field trips, museum exhibits, and more. The organization also offers volunteer opportunities for those who wish to be involved in the preservation of Deltona’s history.
