The Don Luscombe Aviation History Foundation (DLAHF) was founded in Phoenix, AZ in 2002. The foundation's mission is to preserve, promote and educate about the history of aviation and its impact on the Southwest. The foundation is named after Donald Luscombe, a pilot, aircraft enthusiast and aviation historian who was instrumental in the development of Arizona's Civil Air Patrol.
DLAHF has a wide variety of activities and projects that it undertakes to further its mission. The foundation sponsors an aviation history museum, which features a variety of aircraft and artifacts from the early days of aviation. The museum also houses a research library and archive, which are available to the public.
The foundation also organizes and sponsors educational programs, lectures, and events. These events are designed to educate the public about the history of aviation and its impact on the Southwest.
