Fendall Hall is a historic antebellum mansion located in the city of Eufaula, Alabama. It was built in 1832 by James Fendall, a wealthy planter who had made his fortune growing cotton on a large plantation. The two-story home is constructed in the Greek Revival style and features a two-story portico with four fluted Corinthian columns, dentil moldings, and a pediment. The interior of the home features wide hallways, 12-foot ceilings, and original Heart of Pine floors. The first floor features a formal parlor, dining room, library, and a master bedroom, while the second floor holds four additional bedrooms. The exterior of the home is surrounded by a white picket fence and beautiful gardens.
The home was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1972 and is a popular tourist destination, drawing visitors from all over the world. Tours of the home are offered on Saturdays and guests can learn more about the history of the home and the family that lived there.
Fendall Hall is a unique piece of history and is a must-see for anyone visiting the area. It stands as a reminder of the history of the area and the people who once called it home.
