The Historical Society of Interlachen Inc. (HSI) is a non-profit organization based in Interlachen, Florida dedicated to preserving and promoting the local history of the town and surrounding area. Founded in 1999, HSI is composed of volunteers from all walks of life who are passionate about preserving the unique culture, heritage and history of Interlachen and the surrounding area.

HSI works to preserve this history by collecting and archiving photographs, documents, artifacts and stories related to Interlachen’s past. Through their archival efforts, HSI is able to provide local residents, students and visitors with a greater understanding and appreciation of the area’s past.

In addition to archival work, HSI also works to promote the history of Interlachen and the surrounding area. They host a variety of events such as museum tours, lectures and workshops throughout the year. They also manage an online presence, with an interactive website and a presence on social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter.

HSI also works to raise awareness of local history by offering educational programming to local schools and organizations. Through their efforts, HSI is able to ensure that the local history of Interlachen and the surrounding area is remembered and appreciated for generations to come.
