The Colonial St Augustine Preservation Foundation (CSAF) is a non-profit organization located in St. Augustine, Florida. It was formed in 1982 to preserve, promote and protect the historic buildings, sites, and resources of St. Augustine, which was established in 1565 as the first permanent European settlement in North America. The foundation also works to ensure that the city’s unique cultural heritage is shared with all its residents and visitors.

CSAF works to preserve the buildings, sites, and resources that are important to the history of St. Augustine and the greater area. The foundation owns and operates several historic sites, including the Castillo de San Marcos National Monument, the Oldest Wooden Schoolhouse, the St. Photios Greek Orthodox National Shrine, and the Fountain of Youth Archaeological Park. CSAF also offers educational programs, tours, and events aimed at increasing public awareness of St. Augustine’s history and culture.

The organization’s mission is to promote and protect St. Augustine’s historic resources through research and education, while helping to ensure that the city’s unique cultural heritage is shared with all its residents and visitors. To this end, CSAF works with local, state, and federal agencies, as well as other organizations, to promote historic preservation and tourism. In addition, CSAF provides grants and awards to individuals and organizations working to preserve the city’s historic resources.
