The Conservancy of Southwest Florida is a non-profit environmental organization located in Naples, Florida. It was founded in 1964 by a small group of citizens who were concerned about the growth and development of the area. The Conservancy works to protect the natural ecosystems of the region by engaging in research, advocacy, and education.

The organization works to protect the area's water quality, wetlands, uplands, and sea grass beds. It also works to protect endangered species and promote sustainable fishing practices. The Conservancy owns and manages several nature preserves throughout Southwest Florida, including the Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve, Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary, and Naples Nature Center.

The Conservancy also works to educate the public about the importance of conservation. It offers educational programs on topics such as wildlife conservation, habitat protection, and restoration. In addition, it runs a number of volunteer and internship programs.

The Conservancy also works to engage the community in conservation. It hosts several special events throughout the year, including the annual Water Wonderland Festival and the Corkscrew Wildlife Festival. It also works with local businesses and organizations to promote responsible development and stewardship of natural resources.

The Conservancy of Southwest Florida is committed to protecting the region's natural resources for future generations. Through research, advocacy, education, and community engagement, the Conservancy works to preserve the delicate balance of this beautiful area.
