The Resurrection Bay Historical Society Inc., located in Seward, Alaska, is a non-profit organization whose mission is to preserve and protect the history of the Resurrection Bay region. Founded in 1981, the Society has focused its efforts on collecting, preserving, and exhibiting artifacts and materials related to the history of the area.

The Society has published a number of books related to the history of the region, including The History of Seward, Alaska: The Gateway to Resurrection Bay and The History of Resurrection Bay. It also maintains an extensive archive of photographs, documents, and other materials related to the area’s history, including maps, books, newspaper clippings, and oral histories. The Society also sponsors lectures, tours, and other events related to the history of the region.

The Society’s museum, located in Seward, contains a number of artifacts and exhibits related to the history of the region. These exhibits include a variety of items from the early days of Seward, including artifacts from the gold rush of the late 19th century and a replica of a traditional Russian Orthodox church. The museum also features a number of displays related to local wildlife, such as the area’s whales, sea lions, and seals.
