The Haitian Heritage Museum in Miami, Florida is dedicated to preserving and showcasing the history and culture of Haiti and its diaspora. Located in the Little Haiti area of Miami, the museum is housed in a three-story building with more than 8,000 square feet of space. It was founded in 1992 by Haitian-American businessman Sylvain B. Charles and his wife, Marie-Rose Charles.

The Haitian Heritage Museum offers an array of permanent and temporary exhibitions, as well as educational programs, special events and workshops. Some of the permanent exhibitions include a comprehensive overview of Haitian history, culture and art through artifacts, photographs, documents and film footage. The museum also features an extensive collection of Haitian art, including paintings, sculptures, and photography.

The museum also hosts a range of cultural and educational events, such as lectures, workshops, and special programs. One of the museum’s most popular events is the annual Haitian Heritage Festival, which celebrates Haitian culture through music, dance, and art. The festival has been held since 1992 and is one of the most popular events in Little Haiti.

The Haitian Heritage Museum is open Tuesday through Sunday and admission is free. The museum also has a gift shop and café, which offers a variety of Haitian-inspired dishes, drinks and desserts. The museum is a great place to learn about the history and culture of Haiti and its diaspora, and to celebrate its vibrant contributions to the Miami community.
