The Mel Fisher Maritime Heritage Society Museum in Key West, Florida is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving the maritime history of the Florida Keys and educating the public about the region's rich seafaring heritage. Founded in 2006, the museum is housed in a two-story building located in the heart of Old Town Key West. The museum's collections include artifacts from the Atocha and Santa Margarita, two Spanish galleons that sank in the waters off the Florida Keys in 1622 and 1641 respectively. These artifacts include coins, jewelry, swords, and pieces of eight. The museum also houses a variety of historic artifacts from other shipwrecks, including a cannon from the French privateer La Fortune and a section of the hull from the English merchant ship Henrietta Marie.

The museum also features exhibits on the history of the Florida Keys, including items recovered from the wreck of the USS Vandenberg and artifacts from the area's Native American, Spanish, and Bahamian history. In addition to the museum's permanent exhibits, the museum offers a variety of educational programs, including lectures, demonstrations, and guided tours. The museum also hosts a variety of special events and activities, such as the annual Schooner Race and the annual Mel Fisher Maritime Heritage Society Festival. The museum is open to the public seven days a week and admission is free.
