The Anchorage Clay Arts Guild (ACAG) is a non-profit organization based in Anchorage, Alaska. Founded in 1972, ACAG promotes the appreciation, production and teaching of ceramic art in the Anchorage area. ACAG is dedicated to providing opportunities for ceramic artists to develop their skills and to share their work with the community.

ACAG offers a variety of classes, workshops and lectures to members and the public. These classes are taught by experienced ceramic artists and teachers, and cover a variety of topics ranging from sculpting, wheel-throwing and hand-building techniques to glazing, firing and surface decoration.

In addition to classes, ACAG also hosts several events throughout the year, including the Summer Pottery Show, the Holiday Pottery Show, and the Clay Carnival. These events provide an opportunity for ceramic artists to display and sell their work, as well as to mingle with other ceramic artists.

ACAG also participates in various community events, such as the Anchorage Arts and Culture Festival, Anchorage Museum’s ClayFest and the Alaska State Fair. These events allow ACAG to reach a wider audience and to spread their mission of promoting the appreciation of clay art in Anchorage.

ACAG’s main studio is located in the heart of Anchorage, and provides access to pottery wheels, a clay mixer, glazes, and other ceramic tools. The studio also serves as a gathering place for members to share their skills and experiences, and to network with other ceramic artists. In addition to the studio, ACAG also maintains a gallery, where members can display and sell their work.
