APT Washington Chapter Incorporated (APTWC) is a non-profit organization that was founded in Washington D.C. in 1963. The organization is dedicated to promoting and preserving the historic preservation of the greater Washington D.C. area. APTWC is a chapter of the national organization, the Association for Preservation Technology International (APTI). APTWC's membership is composed of individuals from a variety of backgrounds including architects, engineers, conservators, museum professionals, planners, students, and other professionals. The organization's mission is to promote the application of the science, technology, and practice of historic preservation and conservation to the protection, maintenance, and enhancement of the built environment and its associated artifacts.

APTWC offers a variety of educational programs, events, and activities to its members, ranging from technical workshops, symposia, and field trips to social gatherings and awards presentations. The organization also publishes a newsletter and maintains a website, which provides information on upcoming events, educational resources, and job opportunities. Additionally, APTWC serves as an advocate for historic preservation in the Washington D.C. area by engaging in public outreach activities, providing support for local preservation projects, and conducting research.

The organization is governed by a Board of Directors and is supported by a number of committees, including the Technical Committee, which is tasked with developing educational programs and providing technical advice to the Board. APTWC is a member of the D.C. Preservation League and the National Trust for Historic Preservation. The organization is funded primarily through individual and corporate donations, grants, and membership dues.
