The Society for Experiential Graphic Design (SEGD) is a professional organization committed to advancing the practice of experiential graphic design. Founded in 1973, SEGD is a global, multidisciplinary community of professionals who create and deliver environmental graphic design experiences that connect people to place. The Washington DC Chapter of SEGD is dedicated to advancing the experiences of the region's creative professionals in the fields of architecture, interior design, landscape architecture, industrial design, and graphic design.

Members of SEGD’s Washington DC Chapter enjoy a wide variety of educational and networking opportunities, including monthly meetings, workshops, and symposia. The Washington DC Chapter also offers programs such as the Emerging Professional’s Group, which provides members with a platform to learn more about the profession and its processes. In addition, the Chapter maintains a resource library with books, periodicals, and other materials related to experiential graphic design.

The Washington DC Chapter of SEGD ultimately strives to foster a collaborative and educational environment for its members. Through its events and resources, the Chapter works to strengthen the experiential graphic design community in the DC area and to inspire creative professionals to think beyond traditional design solutions.
