The Washington DC Hall of Fame Society is a non-profit organization based in the nation’s capital dedicated to recognizing the achievements of the people who have shaped the city’s history and culture. Founded in 2003, the Hall of Fame Society honors individuals from various fields and backgrounds, from government, science, industry, and the arts, all of whom have made notable contributions to the city.

The Hall of Fame Society has inducted more than 300 members since its founding, including many prominent names such as George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and John F. Kennedy. Each induction ceremony is conducted in the nation’s Capitol and is attended by members of Congress, the President, and other dignitaries. Inductees are presented with a bronze medal and portrait of themselves, which are kept in the Hall of Fame’s permanent collection.

The Hall of Fame Society also sponsors a variety of educational programs and events throughout the year, including seminars and lectures, panel discussions, and exhibitions.
