The Federal Circuit Historical Society is a non-profit educational organization dedicated to the study of the history of the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Located in Washington, DC, the Society was founded in 1982 to preserve the history of this important federal appellate court and to promote the understanding of the judicial process through public programs and publications.

The society is governed by a Board of Directors and a President, who is a member of the bar of the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. The society organizes and sponsors lectures, conferences, and symposia on various aspects of the Federal Circuit's history and work. Additionally, the society sponsors an annual essay and book review competition for law students, and hosts a summer fellowship program for law students interested in researching and writing about the history of the court.

The society also works to preserve and promote the history of the court by collecting archival materials, maintaining an online library, and publishing books and articles about the court's history. In addition to its activities, the society has established the Federal Circuit Historical Society Collection at the National Archives and Records Administration. This collection includes records related to the Federal Circuit's history, including decisions, briefs, and other materials.

The Federal Circuit Historical Society plays an important role in preserving the history of the court and in educating the public about the work and importance of the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
