The Historic Preservation Society of America (HPSA) is a non-profit organization based in Washington, D.C. It was established in 1961 to promote the preservation of historic buildings, sites, and structures throughout the United States. HPSA seeks to protect and preserve the nation’s architectural and cultural heritage. The Society offers educational programs and workshops for its members, as well as for the general public, to raise awareness about the importance of preserving America’s cultural heritage.

The Society works with a variety of partners, including local and national governments, private foundations, and individuals to advocate for the preservation of historic sites and buildings. It also provides technical assistance and research to support preservation projects.

The Society works to protect the nation’s architectural and cultural heritage by advocating for the passage of legislation that protects historic sites and buildings. It also works to increase public awareness of the importance of historic preservation and to educate the public on the benefits of preserving our nation’s history.

HPSA’s mission is to ensure that our nation’s historic places are recognized, protected, and preserved for future generations. The Society works to provide a national platform for the discussion of historic preservation and to support the preservation of America’s architectural and cultural heritage through education, research, and advocacy.
