Historic Mount Pleasant Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in Washington, DC dedicated to preserving the historic character of Mount Pleasant, a vibrant, walkable neighborhood located in the Northwest quadrant of the city. Founded in 1971, Historic Mount Pleasant Inc. works to ensure the preservation and protection of the unique historic and architectural features of the neighborhood, and to promote the quality of life and the cultural heritage of the area.

The organization works to ensure the preservation of Mount Pleasant's historic buildings and landmarks, and to promote the area's unique cultural and community assets. Through their advocacy, they have been successful in protecting the neighborhood from commercial development, while also helping to promote the community's vibrant history and culture. They also strive to create a sense of community by organizing events such as the annual Historic Mount Pleasant Day, where people from all walks of life come together to celebrate the neighborhood's rich history and culture.

In addition to their advocacy work, Historic Mount Pleasant Inc. offers a variety of educational and outreach programs to further their mission.
